2026 Internship - Human Resources Associate (Independence, KS)

Job Summary: The Human Resources Intern role will primarily be focused on assisting with human resources support, employee data, procedures, and services for a wide variety of human resources activities. Opportunity to support internal customers to provide guidance with business strategies, processes, communications, and policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain standard and customized processes for human resources to support HR management, business partners, and other internal customers.
• Partner with functional leadership to drive talent management/development programs and philosophies consistent with the organization's strategy, goals, and values.
• Participate in implementation of human resources technology enhancements.
• Support internal talent acquisition including the sourcing of talent, building talent pipelines, and identifying talent gaps/needs. Partner with recruiter and hiring manager to set recruitment strategy and oversee recruitment processes.
• Other projects and assignments to support and gain exposure to different human resources fields.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field.
• Excellent professional communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with HR sensitive material
• Customer service focus
• Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks. Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
