Accounting Clerk (Hotel Experience - Marriott)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a strong background in hotel accounting, particularly within the Marriott brand. The ideal candidate will have an affinity for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles as they apply to the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process a variety of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all financial documentation is properly filed and stored.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott accounting policies and procedures while adhering to relevant regulations and laws.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role, with preferred experience in a hotel setting, ideally with Marriott. 
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and hotel industry standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software; familiarity with Marriott Fosse and financial systems is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
