Position Summary Adjunct Faculty - Analytics in Sports Performance The School of Health Sciences at Lasell University is seeking part-time faculty member for Exercise Science. The School of Health Sciences offers a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science at the undergraduate level. The major immerses students in a CoAES-accredited curriculum that provides a comprehensive understanding of Exercise Science (exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, clinical and laboratory exercise testing, performance assessment, and fitness and wellness principles) to address the multi-disciplinary nature of the field of exercise science.

- Monday/Wednesdays 11am-12:15pm
EXSC308 Course: This course explores the application of data analytics in optimizing athletic performance, improving team strategies, and enhancing decision-making processes in sports. Students will learn to collect, analyze, and interpret various types of data including physical performance metrics and wearable technology data. The course will primarily cover sports analytics with respect to data from assessments/testing and wearable technology and using this information to inform training, improve performance, and reduce injury risk in both individual and team sports
Responsibilities and Duties: - Proficiency in maintaining an organized Canvas page and ability to deliver engaging course material.
- Provide instruction for all sessions of assigned courses utilizing the college philosophy of connected learning.
- Provide a syllabus and course outline to students that clearly communicates course learning outcomes.
- Maintain office hours each week and timely communications with students via email and phone
- Keep accurate records of student progress (grades) and complete mid-semester and final grade reports.
Qualifications: - Master's degree in Exercise Science, Data Science, Biomechanics, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience demonstrating experience in performance data analytics.
- Familiarity with data analysis software (e.g., Python, Tableau, SPSS, etc.) and data collection with performance instrumentation (e.g., force plates, Catapults, etc.) preferred.
- Preference will also be given to those with certifications: CPSS or CSCS
