Virk Chiropractic is seeking an Admin Assistant and part-time Medical biller (accounts receivable) to join our wonderful, diverse team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.
Also, assist with reception, general administration, and patient care.
This is a perfect job for someone who likes working with patients in a healthcare office but also likes the accounting side of things.
The role of the billing position is to coordinate and execute all aspects of billing. This includes complete patient account representation from the data entry of payments and adjustments through the handling of billing inquiries and collections over the phone or in person. Works closely with admin staff.
$21 - $23 to start.
Experience is not needed but is a bonus.
Requirements
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
Exhibit cooperation and flexibility, working with patients, providers, and staff
Skill in organizing and reporting information that is accurate and complete
Ability to maintain composure and communicate effectively in sensitive situations
Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff
Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone
Experience with patient account/medical billing is a bonus
Experience with benefit verification is a bonus
Able to work with people
General Duties and Responsibilities
Process medical bills
Manage accounts receivable; review with billing assistant and office manager
Post payments
Answer billing inquiries from patients over the phone and in person
Verify insurance benefits
Coordinate practitioner credentialing
Helping with patient care.
