Job Description

A national law firm in Manhattan is seeking a highly organized Administrative Assistant to support a team of attorneys. This is a direct-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential for someone committed to a career in legal administration.

On-site schedule: 5 days per week

Hours: 9:00am–5:30pm

Base salary: $65-80K + discretionary bonus + OT

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of attorneys, including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and phone coverage
  • Draft, revise, and format legal documents for the litigation department
  • Prepare and format Excel spreadsheets
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and other daily logistics, including travel arrangement and authorization
  • Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems in accordance with firm policies
  • Assist with formatting Letters, Memorandums, Motions, etc, including New Case Forms
  • Prepare expenses and check request forms
  • Enter attorney time into the time management system
  • Support document management and general office operations as needed

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of legal administrative experience in a law firm setting is required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong skills in grammar, proofreading, formatting, and document handling
  • Expert knowledge of legal documentation
  • TOC/TOA experience preferred, not required
  • Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
