Build your future with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring for an Assembly Operator I at Fairview, NC 28730. As an Assembly Operator I, you will: Polish and test fiber optic cables. Assemble and package fiber optic connector components. Terminate single and multi-fiber cables. Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions. Conduct tests as needed for particular operations. Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices. Inspect product to print. Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product. May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment. General housekeeping of work area. Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies. Follow safety guidelines. Perform all other work-related duties as assigned. Read and perform tasks according to drawings. Recognize common fiber connectors. Knowledge of cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly. This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity. Schedule: 1st Shift - 7:00am to 3:30pm The Ideal Candidate will have: High School Diploma or GED Required. Minimum one year manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with manufacturing fiber cables preferred. SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred. Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading. Thank you!
