PrideStaff San Diego is looking for a bilingual Office Assistant for our client, who is based in the Mission Valley (San Diego, CA) area.

Our client is a wonderful non-profit organization who is seeking an Office Assistant for a part-time, temporary assignment but the position has a potential to go permanent for the right candidate (tbd).

This is a part-time, Monday – Friday role (with some evenings and/or weekend work), and it pays up to $23 per hour DOE.

Job Overview

This position will support the office, office staff, and the events and presentations this organization holds. You will be an integral part of the team and also help out at informational booths during resource fairs, meetings, etc. There will be some evening hours and weekend hours on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• General Office Administration support to the office team
• Reception duties, including meet and greet
• Engage with diverse groups of people
• File administration, both soft and hard copy
• Update record / data entry
• Assembling PowerPoint presentations for events
• Support the client’s events and conferences
• Updating spreadsheets as required
• Learn about the organization and its work, and to represent the organization in a professional manner.

Requirements and Skills:

• 1-3 years minimum experience as an Administrator
• Must have excellent interpersonal, customer service, and phone skills
• Bi-lingual English and Spanish, written and verbal, is required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good MS Office skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
• Must have very good PowerPoint skills and know how to assemble slides and presentations
• Good attention to detail
• Health industry experience would be preferred but not required
• Team player
• Confidential and empathetic
• Excellent work ethics
• Able to work part-time on a long-term basis
• Able to work some evenings and/or weekends
• Must be able to stand, sit, lift, push, carry, pull up to 35 pounds as needed
• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation.
