Job Title: Biomedical Imaging Engineer

Overview:

This position is responsible for the repair, maintenance, calibration, and technical support of diagnostic imaging equipment within a healthcare environment. The Biomedical Imaging Engineer ensures equipment uptime, regulatory compliance, and supports clinical departments in delivering safe and effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on imaging systems.
• Provide high-level technical support and training to clinical departments.
• Maintain service documentation and ensure compliance with Joint Commission, FDA, and internal policies.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEMs for escalated service and equipment upgrades.
• Participate in equipment installations, evaluations, and lifecycle planning.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics Technology, or equivalent military/technical training.
• 3–8 years of experience repairing and maintaining imaging modalities (experience level dependent on position).
• OEM certification required.
• CBET certification is desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and understanding of imaging workflows.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with PACS/RIS integration and DICOM standards.
• Familiarity with hospital safety protocols and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
