At NYC Water Cruises , we specialize in luxury private charters, dinner cruises, and unforgettable events along the New York Harbor. Our team is committed to providing a safe, smooth, and exceptional guest experience aboard our premium vessels. We are currently seeking a licensed and experienced 100-Ton Captain to join our dynamic crew.
Position Overview:
As a Captain, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a 100-ton vessel, ensuring full compliance with USCG regulations and company protocols. You will lead the onboard crew, manage vessel navigation, and deliver excellent service to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Operate and navigate a 100-ton passenger vessel in New York Harbor
Ensure safety of all guests and crew at all times
Oversee docking, anchoring, and onboard operations
Supervise and coordinate with deck crew and support staff
Perform safety drills, inspections, and routine maintenance checks
Maintain clear communication with operations team and management
Deliver a positive and professional experience for all charter guests
Requirements:
Valid U.S. Coast Guard 100-Ton Master License (Near Coastal or Inland)
TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating similar commercial vessels
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with NYC waterways is a plus
Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings
