Senior Helpers of South Orange County is looking for compassionate and experienced caregivers to provide a blend of personal and companion care for a client in Irvine, CA. What You’ll Do
Personal Care Duties:
- Assist with bathing, grooming, and hygiene to promote client dignity.
- Support with dressing and personal appearance.
- Aid with mobility, transfers, and repositioning, including use of Hoyer lifts or gait belts if needed.
- Provide continence care, including toileting and incontinence management.
- Assist with feeding and meal preparation as required.
Companion Care Duties:
- Engage in meaningful conversations and activities to enrich the client’s day.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to reduce isolation.
- Encourage hobbies, games, or outdoor walks (as applicable) to foster physical and mental well-being.
- Perform light housekeeping, including tidying, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and communicate changes in the client’s health to the care team.
Who You Are
We’re looking for caregivers who are empathetic, reliable, and eager to create positive experiences. You are:
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skilled in managing personal care tasks with professionalism and respect.
- Attentive, detail-oriented, and capable of following a care plan effectively.
Requirements:
- Must have an active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration and at least 1 year of caregiver experience in an agency, assisted living, nursing home, or similar home care settings.
- Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks.
- Pass background checks and drug screenings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans.
- Ability to communicate with office staff, clients, and other caregivers through phone call, text, and email.

- $17 to $20 per hour, paid biweekly.
