Carrier Sales Specialist

Cargomatic is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Carrier Sales Specialist to join our team. You will be responsible for handling all pricing requests for our customers and ensuring competitive pricing, rate cards, and RFPs.

Responsibilities:

• Handle all pricing requests for customers to ensure competitive pricing, rate cards, and RFPs
• Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure the best pricing for our customers
• Build and maintain relationships with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions to meet those needs
• Understand how drayage pricing works and use that knowledge to make informed pricing decisions
• Utilize tech-savvy skills to analyze data using tools like Excel and Google Sheets
• Prepare reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent customer service

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Previous experience in drayage or brokerage with rate negotiation skills
• Tech-savvy with advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large sets of data
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology and processes
• Located in or willing to relocate to the Chicago area

The expected salary range for this role is $65,000 to $95,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law. Decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
