POSITION SUMMARY: As a CDL Collection Driver, you will play a crucial role in safely operating a collection truck and delivering exceptional waste removal services to our valued customers. Your commitment to safety and compliance with company, state, and federal regulations will be essential in this role. You will also be responsible for conducting daily vehicle condition reports to ensure timely repairs of any defects.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to check tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls, reporting any safety issues as necessary.
• Safely navigate your heavy truck along your assigned route while effectively reading route sheets and maps to service each customer in a timely manner.
• Utilize manual and automatic controls to lift, load refuse, operate compactors, and properly dispose of collected materials at designated facilities.
• Engage courteously with customers, dispatchers, and team members to ensure efficient service on each route.
• Tag and report any unsatisfactory waste containers according to departmental procedures.
• Monitor for unacceptable waste consistently to maintain service standards.
• Ensure a clean environment following any accidental spills, adhering to safety policies.
• Keep the vehicle clean and operationally ready, performing cleaning tasks after each disposal trip.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, vehicle condition reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely and efficient customer service.
• Strictly follow all safety policies and regulations.
• Actively participate in the Company's ReSOP program and perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills, ensuring a professional and courteous interaction with customers and colleagues.
• Demonstrate effective time management to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely.
• Adhere to company policies and rules, prioritizing safety and avoiding unnecessary risks.
• Take pride in your work, striving to achieve all set goals.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Possession of a Class B Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.

COMPENSATION:

• $23.50/hr | Paid Weekly | 1st Shift
