Job Description

Labor Finders of Austell is looking for manual dump truck driver. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting materials, such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt, using a dump truck, focusing on the manual shifting and operation of the vehicle

Responsibilities:

• Transporting crushed rock, sand, gravel, salt, broken concrete, debris, asphalt, etc., to and from specified locations. Verifying the types of materials being transported and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions.  
• Ensure materials are loaded correctly onto the dump truck. 
• Inspecting the dump truck before and after every trip or as required by management, which includes checking the oil, gas, and water levels as well as the lights and tires. 
• Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries, or mechanical faults to management and or the appropriate authority.  
• Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair following the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook. 
• Communicates regularly with the dispatcher to ensure that the delivery schedule is being followed and that any problems with traffic or with site conditions are reported promptly.  
• Maintain accurate driver logs. 
• Complying with all safety rules and regulations. 
• Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED. 
• MUST know how to drive manual
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License. 
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate – must pass DOT physical. 
• Good Driving Record – for insurance eligibility. 
• Proven experience operating a standard dump truck. 
• Working knowledge of construction site safety, truck maintenance, and road safety regulations. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills. 
• Exceptional customer service skills. 
• Effective communication skills.
