What a Client Manager Does Here Own a portfolio of clients—be their first point of contact Conduct meetings with clients - face to face and Zoom Quarterback a production pod (assistants, staff accountants): set cadence, review work, clear roadblocks. Key Responsibilities Deliver all tax & accounting engagements on time, on budget, and to KPI. Lead kick-offs, status updates, and year-end strategy sessions. Review & sign outbound correspondence (e.g., notice responses). Mentor Assistant Client Managers; provide timely, actionable feedback. Leverage dashboards to keep teams aligned. Must-Have Qualifications Active CPA or EA license (MST a plus). 7 years Tax experience, including 3 years managing client relationships or staff. Deep knowledge of individual, partnership, S-Corp, and C-Corp returns; strong multistate & depreciation skills. Fluency in ProConnect Lacerte, QBD/QBO, and Google Workspace (or similar). Clear communicator who translates complex tax into plain English and motivates teams.
