CNC Programmer Machinist 2nd Shift – $60k-$65k (Depending on Exp.)

What will you be doing?

• Determine setup requirements, operation sequence, and tolerance of finished parts by interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and instructions.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material to set guides for subsequent machining processes.
• Machine bar stock to precise specifications.
• Verify the conformance of finished parts to specifications using precision measuring tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery as required.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned, depending on workload and business needs.

What do you bring?

• Proven mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in intermediate math and reading.
• Practical experience with Okuma lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment used in machine shops.
• Strong experience operating Okuma lathes is essential.
• MasterCam programming experience required!!!
• Ability to modify CNC programs.
• Adequate motor skills to safely and efficiently operate tools and machinery.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of the scheduled shift, typically 8-10 hours per day, with the possibility of overtime as needed.
