We are seeking a seasoned Permanent Construction Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This role is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, providing legal support to a wide range of construction projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction law, with a particular focus on contract negotiation and dispute resolution. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your legal expertise in a challenging and rewarding setting, and to play a key role in the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and support to our construction teams on a wide range of issues, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of construction contracts, ensuring that they are legally sound and align with our business objectives.
  • Manage and resolve complex construction disputes, including litigating in court, mediating disputes, and negotiating settlements.
  • Keep abreast of changes in construction law and regulations, and provide training and guidance to our construction teams to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with other members of our legal team, as well as with our construction teams, to develop and implement strategies that minimize legal risk and maximize business success.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, if necessary.
Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a construction attorney, with a strong focus on contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction law and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and resolving complex construction disputes.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to negotiate favorable terms and resolve disputes effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Willingness to keep up with the changing landscape of the law, and to continually develop and refine legal skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
