Construction Estimator - Commercial Roofing - Base Salary to 100k/year - White Marsh, MD

• Our client is a well-established Maryland company that specializes in commercial roofing projects throughout the DMV area. They are a family-owned company that has been around over 40 years, and pride themselves on their professional, affordable, and reliable roofing solutions.
• In this role, the Construction Estimator will be meeting with potential customers, selling services, and estimating primarily on jobs from 10k to 100k. The Construction Estimator will take the initiative to follow up on bids and sell their company as the best option, and who can put out quality work in a small team environment out of their Maryland office, with occasional site visits. The expectation is for someone to be able to send out at least 20 bids per month.

Responsibilities:

• Generate detailed cost estimates of commercial roofing projects including TPO, EPDM, PVC, Shingles and Slates. Metal Wall Panels, Sidings, ACM Panels, Phenolic Wall Panels and Fiber Cement would be a plus
• Visit new buildings and existing work sites, inspect existing material and gather data related to complete materials, equipment and labor cost estimates
• Work with general contractors, property managers and building owners on contract execution
• Participate in submittal process
• Leverage industry relationships and show initiative to follow up on bids to sell jobs

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience in commercial roofing estimating
• Thorough knowledge of contract, subcontractor, and vendor relations
• Proficiency with roofing Estimating software (EDGE and Dataforma preferred)
• Ability to work daily out of the White Marsh, MD office

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 85k - 100k/year range
• Performance based bonuses

• 401k (50% match up to 6% of salary)
