Position Summary
The Supervisor of Modular Press Box Construction is responsible for managing the daily operations of our modular production area, ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality, code-compliant press boxes. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a deep understanding of modular construction, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to lead a skilled production crew through all stages of fabrication and assembly.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all phases of modular press box construction, including framing, electrical, HVAC, insulation, wall panel installation, painting, and finishing.
• Lead by example—engage directly in daily production activities and support your team with technical expertise.
• Maintain production schedules and ensure timely delivery of projects without compromising quality or safety.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and team meetings to communicate production goals, expectations, and safety reminders.
• Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are available and properly maintained.
• Train and mentor team members; promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, logistics, procurement, and quality teams to address and resolve issues.
• Uphold OSHA and company safety protocols and ensure compliance throughout the modular facility.
• Keep accurate records of labor, production progress, incidents, and improvement opportunities.
• Identify bottlenecks or workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for the modular crew.
• Travel as needed to job sites for field repairs, installation support, or warranty service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education in construction management, industrial technology, or a related field is a plus.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in modular construction, commercial building, or metal fabrication environments.
• Strong knowledge of modular building techniques and relevant building codes.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and performing material take-offs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead production teams in a hands-on capacity.
• Solid problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience using digital tools such as Excel, ERP systems, or production tracking software (Infor/Factory Track experience a plus).
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Willing and able to travel for field service and support.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable working in production and occasionally outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to wear required PPE including safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hard hats.
• Occasional overnight travel required.

Work Environment

• Position is primarily based in our modular fabrication facility in Louisville, KY.
• Regular travel to job sites and customer locations for field service and installations.
• Fast-paced, safety- and quality-focused team environment.
