Superintendent – Ground-Up Commercial Construction

Are you a seasoned Superintendent with a track record of delivering high-quality commercial construction projects? We’re partnered with a respected General Contractor in Albuquerque, NM , looking for a local leader to manage and execute ground-up projects across K-12, Medical, Religious, and Industrial sectors.

The Role:

As the Superintendent, you'll be the driving force behind on-site operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily on-site operations for ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Oversee and manage all subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and coordinate with Project Managers to meet deadlines
  • Enforce and ensure compliance with all OSHA safety standards and company safety policies
  • Conduct daily safety briefings and site inspections to maintain a safe work environment
  • Interpret and implement construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Coordinate inspections with local authorities, architects, engineers, and clients
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and field logs
  • Identify potential issues and work proactively to mitigate risks and resolve conflicts
  • Ensure project quality control by reviewing work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Participate in subcontractor meetings and collaborate with internal teams to drive project success
  • Act as a key liaison between the field and office, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Superintendent on ground-up commercial projects
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and site safety management
  • Familiarity with projects in K-12, healthcare, religious, or industrial sectors is a strong advantage
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and project documents
  • Proficient in project management software and construction technology
  • Local to Albuquerque, NM – this is a site-based position and not open to travel-based candidates
