We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controller to join our dynamic Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong financial background to make a significant impact on our company’s financial operations. As a Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all company accounting practices, including preparing financial statements, invoices, and management reports.
- Implement and maintain a system of internal controls to ensure company assets are adequately safeguarded and all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with financial policies and US GAAP.
- Conduct and lead monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-term strategic financial planning.
- Carry out regular financial analysis, identifying trends, opportunities, and potential threats to the company's financial health.
- Manage cost accounting and inventory valuation, ensuring accurate product costing and margin analysis.
- Coordinate and manage the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and tax filings.
- Work closely with company leaders to formulate the company's future direction and support tactical initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
- Proficient in financial statement preparation and review, cost accounting, financial analysis, and monthly forecasting.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced knowledge of accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
