Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Copy Editor to join their dynamic marketing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality marketing materials, both in print and digital formats. As a Copy Editor, you will collaborate with various internal teams to manage projects efficiently and ensure timely completion of tasks.

This is a full-time 6 month contract opportunity. The role is located in downtown Los Angeles, CA and is hybrid onsite . The application deadline is Friday, May 6th 2025.

Copy Editor Responsibilities:

• Review and refine marketing materials for clarity, grammar, accuracy, and consistency, adhering to style and tone guidelines.
• Verify statistics and facts using both internal and external sources, recommending edits based on audience insights and style guides.
• Update materials with quarterly/annual changes, including statistical data and investment disclosures, ensuring accuracy across digital platforms.
• Monitor compliance language updates, ensuring all materials meet legal and regulatory standards.
• Stay current with style guide changes, incorporating them to maintain consistency in communications.
• Apply sound judgment in resolving complex issues, demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.

Copy Editor Requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of copyediting experience, preferably in financial, pharmaceutical, or medical sectors.
• Proven expertise in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and style guides, with a focus on AP and Chicago styles.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment, showcasing strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience in managing production schedules, tracking deliverables, and problem-solving.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• A solid understanding of financial and investment concepts is advantageous.
