The Data Mining Intern Reports to the Data Mining Analyst. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Mining Intern to join our Marketing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about uncovering insights from complex datasets and contributing to impactful projects in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

As a Data Mining Intern, you will work closely with experienced data professionals, leveraging your analytical skills to extract, process, and analyze data that informs strategic business decisions. You’ll gain hands-on experience while learning the overall and niche aspects of data mining and analytics for a global corporation in a large and complex growing industry.

• Collect, clean, and process datasets from various sources.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to present findings effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to design and execute data-driven projects.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and tools in data mining and analytics.
• Document processes, methodologies, and project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• General knowledge of the restaurant industry, point of sales systems, restaurant delivery platforms (Doordash, Uber Eats, etc), and restaurant digital sales (web/app based ordering).
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge with experience in Excel.
• Basic understanding of Mathematics and Statistics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
• Previous experience with data mining projects (academic or professional).
