General Overview
This person will work with our shop crew in an at-will capacity as a Diesel Mechanic. Our trucking company operates a fleet of trucks that run throughout SC and parts of NC. We are looking for someone who can join our team to keep the equipment performing at its peak.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components and troubleshoot problems.
2. Repair trucks, loaders, bulldozers, and other equipment.
3. Perform routine vehicle maintenance on fleet and service trucks.
4. Assist in keeping the shop organized and safe.
5. All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Previous experience as a mechanic
3. Knowledge of shop equipment
4. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

1. Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
3. Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other business areas.
4. Attention to details.
Requirements
1. Requires ability to operate all mechanical equipment/tools in a safe effective manner.
2. Requires frequent walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping.
3. Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
4. Must be able to lift 55 lbs.
5. Requires work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures. Appropriate safety equipment will be provided.
6. Must have consistent and reliable transportation to and from work for all scheduled shifts.
7. Must follow all applicable Company policies, procedures, and directives including, without limitation, those related to safety.
Schedule and Compensation
- Full-time
- Paid Hourly based off of experience (Non-exempt position)
- Provided all eligibility requirements as set forth in the controlling Plan Documents are satisfied, group health insurance is currently available for full-time employees of Quality Haulers of SC, LLC.
