Job Title: Picker and Packer
Job Description

As a Picker and Packer, you will be responsible for scanning location and pallet license plates using scanner and voice equipment to efficiently pick products according to the Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will operate equipment to pick items from various floors and organize operations by zones as instructed by associates. Additionally, you will palletize and wrap picked items, replenish racks by moving pallets, and ensure cleanliness before and after work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedules.
• Unload goods, materials, or cargo from vehicles onto the floor or designated storage area.
• Move and place freight in assigned warehouse locations.
• Store unloaded pallets to designated locations as directed using a scanner connected to WMS.
• Classify products, including frozen, refrigerated, and dry items.
• Merge multiple pallets into one when containing the same products.
• Transfer same-day shipping pallets to the loading dock as instructed.
• Organize and clear locations by moving pallets according to instructions.
• Wrap and store unloaded pallets.
• Unload containers sequentially using conveyor belts and wrapping turn tables.
• Attach pallet license plates to wrapped pallets before storage.
• Clean containers and surrounding areas after unloading.
• Load prepared pallets onto trucks as instructed.
• Operate equipment such as High Row and Electric Jacks to move and unload pallets.

Essential Skills

• Experience in picking, packing, and inventory management.
• Proficiency with RF scanners.
• Flexibility with schedules and ability to start training at 7 am.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to work in cold environments, including fridges and freezers.
• Steel toe boots and appropriate clothing for freezer conditions are mandatory.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
