SUMMARY:

The EHS Intern will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety department in implementing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. This role will provide valuable hands-on experience in various EHS-related tasks, contribuiting to the overall success of THOR’s safety program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with regular safety inspections of the workplace, identify potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans, participate in drills and training at THOR and our family of companies.
• Support compliance with environmental regulations, including permitting, reporting, and monitoring activities.
• Assist in developing and delivering safety training programs to team members, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
• Collect and analyze EHS data, generating reports and metrics to track safety performance and identify trends.
• Contribute to various EHS projects, such as risk assessments, incident investigations, and program initiatives.
• Handle administrative duties, including filing, recordkeeping, and correspondence.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be an upcoming Sophomore or above pursuing a degree in Business, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field
• Well organized and detail orientated
• Ability to work independanlty and also collaborate as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also a requirement.
