Job Description

This role is designed to support the environmental and engineering teams in a variety of essential tasks aimed at ensuring the compliance and operational efficiency. Under the guidance the environmental supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining ArcGIS databases related to environmental leasing data, transferring data between ArcGIS and AutoCAD, and assisting with permitting processes by preparing written responses, maps, and data analysis

Principal Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Prepare maps, build queries, and create reports from spatial data and data bases
• Following established procedures,  transfer data from ArcGIS to AutoCAD or vice versa for the mine
• Receive guidance from senior team members to prepare written responses, maps, and data analysis for permit applications, mine plan revisions, or other technical responses; as well as for other environmental reports and projects as needed.  Work in conjunction with environmental/engineering staff and PSC staff or other state or federal agencies in formation of these responses
• Perform data collection relating to environmental compliance and bond release
• Supports team with storm water inspections, pond inspections, and compliance sampling.
• With guidance from senior team members, responsible for general mine surveying, data collection, and construction staking
• Follow established procedures  for collecting survey data using GPS equipment or aerial drones to be used in the design of mining infrastructure, permit drawings, mine plans, and production reporting
