Job Title: HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT

Location(s): The Mark Center, Alexandria VA

Salary: $55,792.91 - $75,484.53

Hours: Full-Time (Hybrid)

Clearance Requirements:

Secret required

What you will be doing:

• Maintain electronic files in accordance with established guidance, and conduct periodic records review for possible movement, storage, or destruction.
• Update information into an automated system application.
• Experience working with staffing specialists to determine eligibility for Federal appointments and benefits.
• Knowledge of processing Federal Personnel Actions as defined in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Guide for Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA).
• Experience working with the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and USA Staffing (USAS).
• Update information into an automated system application.
• Experience working with staffing specialists to determine eligibility for Federal appointments and benefits.

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Two or more years of specialized knowledge in the execution and application of processing Federal Personnel Actions as defined in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Guide for Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA).
• Two or more years of professional experience working with the Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) and USA Staffing (USAS).
• Experience supporting a federal human resources office. Familiarity with the hiring lifecycle and hiring processes within each phase of hiring, ideally at both the GS and SES level. o Experience with process improvement to recommend efficient processes and best uses of USA Staffing features. o Experience working with staffing specialists to determine eligibility for Federal appointments and benefits and entering information into an automated system.

High School Diploma
