The Hot Zone Technician, under the Production Supervisor, will provide support in the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing process. The Hot Zone Technician will collect, validate, analyze, and organize data into meaningful reports for management decision-making for hot zone items.
Schedule:
Training: Monday-Friday 8AM- 5PM (1-2 Months)
Schedule: 6:00AM-6:30PM or 6:00 PM- 6:30AM on a 2-2-3 rotation
Analyze and manage the lifetime of hot zone components.
Examine and analyze various materials for defects, flaws, or damage that would prevent perfect crystal growth during processing.
Eliminate buildup, impurities, and degradation throughout each hot zone component.
Execute heat treatment for carbon-containing components to eliminate impurities and test heating components.
Manually break down spent or waste materials for disposal.
Identify hot zone component issues, analyze root causes, and drive resolutions.
Cooperate with the installation, maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment in production lines.
Compile and analyze hot zone data and create reports for engineers' review.
Develop mechanisms to improve production and streamline workflow in the hot zone.
Build and take apart cutting-edge material systems for maintenance between furnace campaigns.
Control a system of semi-autonomous transport robots via PDA.
Utilize spatial skills to load large components onto transport carts efficiently.
Use manual cranes and vacuum systems to lift heavy components and raw material inputs between furnace campaigns.
Access proper PPE to prevent injury or contamination during handling.
Control a system of semi-autonomous transport robots via PDA.
Utilize special machinery to lift, rotate, and transfer large and vulnerable crystals between transports.
Access proper PPE to prevent injury or contamination while handling crystals.
1-2 years of working experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Associate degree or equivalent is required.
Experience with network-based computer systems (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and procedures while contributing to continuous improvement with suggestions and ideas.
Knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and leadership skills.
