Job Description

Required Licenses/Experience:

• Licensed psychiatrist, psychologist, LCSW, LPC, LAC or LMFT who maintains a current, unrestricted license to practice in Louisiana.
• 2 years experience and/or training in working with clients who have substance use disorders (SUD).

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site and direct professional supervision of unlicensed professionals.
• Provide direct care to clients utilizing core competencies of addiction counseling.
• Serve as a resource person for other professionals in their specific area of expertise.
• Attend and participate in care conferences, treatment planning activities, and discharge planning.
• Function as client's advocate in all treatment decisions affecting the client; and
• Prepare and write notes or other documents related to recovery (e.g. assessments, progress notes, treatment plans and discharges).
• Lead groups when needed.

Knowledge/Experience of the Following:

• Providing supervision utilizing evidence-based techniques related to the practice of behavioral health counseling.
• Survey methodology and tools.
• Court hearing procedures, rules and protocol.

Skills:

• Use of crisis intervention techniques.
• Develop individualized treatment plans.
• Perform group and/or client therapeutic assessments and counseling.
• Deliver training using acceptable methods and techniques.
• Refer inquiries to appropriate staff and agencies.
• Use of case management software systems.
• Application of social work and or mental health assessment techniques.

Work Hours:

This is a part-time contract position approximately up to 20 hours per week.

Hybrid role – opportunity to perform some responsibilities remotely but must be available to work onsite.

Must have the ability to pass a criminal background check, tb and drug test.

Job Type: Contract.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour.

Expected hours: 18 – 23 per week.

Schedule :

• Monday to Friday.

Experience :

• Addiction counseling: 2 years (Required).
