Hope Ranch Learning Academy is a private Christian school in Hudson, Florida. Set on a horse ranch, Hope Ranch Learning Academy has been serving the unique needs of students with Autism and unique abilities for over 20 years. We are growing rapidly and are looking for vibrant, innovative, and experienced job coaches for our High School students. This Job Coach will operate as an Employment Specialist working with Special Education High School students teaching them valuable life skills and developing these students to be able to join the workforce!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate's Degree or higher.
• 3+ years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for the last 3 years.
• Must be able to pass all required background checks.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In this position, you will be responsible for supporting students with developmental disabilities to develop basic life skills, employability skills, and prepare them to join the workplace. 
• You will also be responsible for classroom management of your assigned group of students.
• Transport students to job site experiences.
• Supervise and train students on various jobs while out in the community once a week, and document progress.
• During classroom instruction, the Job Coach implements lesson plans developed by the Lead Vocational Coordinator.

PAY:

• $14/hr.

About Hope Ranch Learning Academy:

Our non-Denominational Christian Private School is set on a wooded horse ranch, and we focus on students with Autism and other learning disabilities. We use innovative teaching and classroom management techniques which include the Teaching Family Model and horse interaction as part of the academic experience.Classrooms consist of 1 Lead Teacher, 1-2 Teaching Assistants and a maximum of 15 students. The Elementary classroom has a 5:1 Student to Instructor ratio and our Middle and High School Classroom has a max of 8:1 Student to Instructor ratio.
