Job Summary: The User Experience Designer will work with the product management team which includes UX designers, system architects, software developers, business analysts, QA/508 testers, and project managers to create best-of-breed software applications. The UX Designer handles eliciting and gathering UI requirements, conceptualizing, and creating UI wireframes, and following UI style guides and standards.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Work with product and project stakeholders to gather UI requirements
• Document business and user workflows with diagrams, and sketches
• Create UI wireframes and/or prototypes that are consistent with the design system and product design patterns such as, interactions, behaviors, navigation, content structure, and layout

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of UX experience or UX Certification/Degree
• User-centered design approach with ability to balance user needs with business needs
• Knowledge of applying usability design principles and best practices to user interface design
• Ability to solve problems and think strategically and take part in brainstorming sessions
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others within a team environment and work independently on individual assignments
• Experience using UI wireframes and prototyping software such as: Figma, Sketch, Axure RP, etc.
• Experience using collaboration tools such as: Miro, Figjam, MS Teams, MS TFS/ADO, MS SharePoint, etc.
• Familiarity with web application and UI design and development technologies and frameworks such as Design Systems, Design Tokens, Component Libraries

• Familiarity with web-based technologies: HTML5, CSS3, 508, Responsive Design

Ideal Experience:

• Experience working in a product-focused agile environment
• Experience with accessibility design and development including section 508, WAI-ARIA and WCAG standards
• Experience designing Single Page Applications, Modular Design, Component Based UI
• Experience with coding and development using latest web-based technologies and standards such as: HTML5, CSS3
