Legal Recruiter | Business Solutions Manager

Reputable litigation firm in DTLA is seeking a Legal Billing Specialist with 3+ years of legal billing experience and strong proficiency in Excel and MS Office . The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legal billing rules , including e-billing and client guidelines , and demonstrate excellent attention to detail , organizational skills , and clear communication abilities .

Key Responsibilities

• Manage time entry and billing for hourly, flat-fee, and contingency matters
• Prepare prebills and final invoices; handle billing adjustments and write-offs
• Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines (LEDES, UTBMS codes)
• Review narratives, verify rate accuracy, and reconcile billing discrepancies
• Apply client payments and assist with basic AR processes
• Support trust accounting basics (IOLTA awareness preferred)
• Oversee month-end billing cycles and general ledger summaries
• Utilize e-billing platforms (e.g., CounselLink, Legal Tracker, Serengeti)
• Correct invoice rejections and resubmit as needed

Requirements

• Proficiency in Aderant/Sierra or similar legal billing software (Elite Enterprise, Elite Prolaw, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of e-billing systems and strict client billing rules
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to catch time entry errors
