The Line Cook is responsible for preparation of food items for service in a high-volume restaurant. Required knowledge includes high-volume kitchen operations, food spoilage inspection, proper rotation, kitchen sanitation, prep work, expediting knowledge, use of all kitchen equipment, following standardized recipes and plate presentation, maintaining pace in a high-volume kitchen, and proper sanitation knowledge. The role requires attention to detail and a High School Diploma. The working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful, requiring prolonged standing and ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities include organizing and prioritizing food preparation, preparing food according to standardized recipes, ensuring proper portion sizes, coordinating with kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, preparing kitchen equipment and stations, performing opening and closing duties, and adhering to House of Blues policies. The position demands teamwork, punctuality, and adherence to safety and sanitation compliance.
