The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient care according to developmental needs and hospital policies, performing assessments and monitoring patient conditions under RN supervision. The role includes pain management education, medication administration, and professional interaction with patients and families. The LPN maintains equipment, ensures compliance with nursing standards, and supports family medicine services in a full-time daytime position.
The LPN provides care to patients in accordance with their developmental needs, following the standards of the Department of Nursing and in accordance with hospital policy and procedure.
