Job Description:
Grand Villa of Sarasota is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our maintenance department. This full-time position offers competitive benefits and the opportunity to work closely with the Director of the department. The ideal candidate will possess the attention to detail and skills necessary for maintaining a safe and comfortable environment in our assisted living community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Maintenance in daily operations and maintenance tasks.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects and repairs efficiently.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
