Job Description

Manager Transport Logistics Location Wixom, MI : Responsibilities: Essential Duties:
Strategically plan and manage transportation to support inbound/outbound material movement to all U.S. points as well as MX and CN.
Perform lane analysis and align best carrier mix to support corporate objectives for price and service.
Negotiate parcel, LTL, FTL spot and annual pricing agreements.
Track industry activity for benchmarking and supporting corporate objectives.
Serve as corporate resource for specialized freight moves, data requirements, customer shipment issue resolution.
Keep track of activity, quality of service, delivery times, and transport costs.
Establish annual transportation operating budget.
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
Adhere to the policies and procedures of the company.
Perform all job-related tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications: Academic Skills/Knowledge/Experience (Preferred):
Proven working experience as a Transport/Logistics Manager.
BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred.
Microsoft Office Software required. SAP preferred.
Proficient in standard logistics software.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
