AWS/CES is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Humboldt, TN

Pay Rate: $32 - $39/h depending on experience

Schedule: 1st shift (6am to 3pm)

Temp-to-hire position

Overview:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team in Humboldt, TN. This role is responsible for improving existing processes, developing new manufacturing methods, managing tooling and capital expenditures, and supporting production efficiency across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate the manufacturing feasibility of new products and technologies.
• Recommend and implement cost-effective manufacturing improvements.
• Provide technical direction and support for manufacturing processes.
• Procure specialized tools and gauges by evaluating designs and initiating purchase orders.
• Implement machining methods and process improvements through CAD/CAM programming.
• Create and maintain required engineering documentation for manufacturing operations.
• Analyze manufacturing impacts of vendor deviations and recommend solutions.
• Forecast and manage Capital Expenditures.
• Supervise equipment installations and related functions.
• Oversee setup personnel for new process testing, fixture improvements, and machine tool upgrades.
• Develop and test new ideas for process improvements, fixture designs, and automation optimization.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering/Manufacturing Technology.
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
• Proven experience with AutoCAD 2D and SolidWorks 3D.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining fixture design, and cutting tool applications.
• Experience managing tooling budgets and addressing forming or die-related issues.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma principles.
• PLC experience is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver cost-effective results.
• This position could require some weekend work.
