Job Title: Manufacturing Systems Engineer Location: New Orleans, LA 70129 Area Code: 504 Pay Rate: $45.00-60.00/hour Shift: 1st Employment Type: Direct, Full Benefits #ManufacturingEngineering #AerospaceSystems #NASAJobs Position Overview: Belcan is seeking a skilled Senior Manufacturing Planning Engineer to support a leading aircraft customer. This full-time, contract or direct position including comprehensive benefits and offers a unique opportunity to shape the manufacturing processes for advanced aerospace systems. The focus of this role is on manufacturing planning, developing detailed work instructions, and ensuring efficient and effective production workflows. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement manufacturing process plans and detailed work instructions to support the production of advanced aerospace systems.
• Translate engineering designs and eBOMs (Engineering Bills of Materials) into MBOMs (Manufacturing Bills of Materials) and actionable production plans.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize build sequences, workflow efficiency, and resource utilization.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges, ensuring processes align with quality and compliance standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Evaluate production readiness, contributing to Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) with inputs on material maturity, process capability, workforce readiness, and tooling adequacy.
• Support the integration of new processes and technology into manufacturing operations.
• Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the latest design revisions.
• Utilize MES software to monitor and manage production tasks, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• 5 to 15+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, process documentation, and creating work instructions in an aerospace or industrial environment.
• Proficiency in manufacturing planning tools and software, including MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting engineering designs, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across remote teams and present manufacturing plans effectively.
• U.S. citizenship required due to project restrictions.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with tools such as CREO, Windchill, or similar platforms for engineering data integration.
• Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, including precision machining, fabrication, and assembly.
• Experience in process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and compliance requirements.
