Description Are you a creative and driven individual looking to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of marketing? Viking Forge is seeking a motivated Marketing Intern to join our team. As a Marketing Intern, you will assist in various marketing initiatives, learning and contributing to the development and execution of marketing strategies that drive brand awareness and engagement. This will be a temporary position for Fall 2024 with a possibility to extend to Spring 2025 after completion of the internship.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Content Creation: Assist in creating a corporate marketing policy and procedures manual, engaging content for social media platforms, blog posts, newsletters, web site, presentations, and other marketing materials.
- Social Media Management: Help manage and grow our social media presence by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences to support marketing strategies.
- Campaign Support: Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media campaigns, and promotional and trade events.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Graphic Design: Create or assist in designing visual content for marketing materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales & marketing team and other departments to align marketing efforts with business goals.

Requirements - Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles and digital marketing tools.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Microsoft Publisher) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
