Job Title: Materials Specialist

Location: North Richland Hills, TX

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (1-hour lunch)

Type of Employment: Direct Hire

Compensation: $20.00 – $30.00/hour (eligible for overtime)

Industry: Manufacturing

Job Description:

Addison Group has partnered with a growing manufacturing client to hire a Materials Specialist . In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) that support production, planning, and inventory management. The position requires strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials based on engineering documentation
  • Translate technical drawings into structured BOMs for production use
  • Manage and update material master data within ERP systems
  • Coordinate with planning, scheduling, and inventory teams to ensure data accuracy
  • Support material capacity planning for upcoming projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to streamline data flow and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform additional administrative and operational tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production setting
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (assessment required)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
  • Strong mathematical and data management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred
