We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time Dog Walker and Pet Sitter. In this role, you will be responsible for providing quality care and companionship for pets while their owners are away. Must love animals and have experience with animals of all kinds as we work with all sorts of pets, dogs, cats, farm animals, reptiles, and horses. We cover all of New Braunfels and Canyon Lake, parts of Seguin, Bulverde, Spring Branch, San Marcos, Schertz, Cibolo, and Marion.

 

****Key Responsibilities****

Dog Walking :

Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring they receive adequate exercise and mental stimulation. Follow specific instructions for each dog’s exercise routine and behavior management.

Ensure safety by using appropriate leashes, harnesses, and other equipment.

Pet Sitting:

Provide in-home care for pets, including feeding, administering medications (if required), and maintaining cleanliness.

Follow specific instructions for each pet's care routine.

Offer companionship and playtime to keep pets happy and engaged.

Communication:

Update pet owners regularly on their pet’s activities, well-being, and any concerns through our software.

Handle emergencies calmly and communicate promptly with pet owners if issues arise.

Administrative:

Maintain accurate records of service provided, including dates, times, and any special notes.

Ensure all pet care equipment and supplies are clean and in good condition.

****Requirements****

Experience with pet care and handling, especially dogs and cats.

Ability to manage and walk multiple dogs safely.

Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.

Reliable transportation, this position requires a lot of driving.

Flexibility to work during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Basic understanding of pet health and behavior.

Ability to handle emergencies and follow instructions carefully.

Must live in the New Braunfels or Surrounding area.

****Qualifications****

Previous experience in pet sitting or dog walking preferred.

Knowledge of pet first aid and CPR is a plus.

Knowledge of Time to Pet Software a plus.

Must pass a background check.

Must have cell phone to be able to use our software

Must have reliable transportation as this job requires a lot of driving.

****Working Hours****

Varies based on client needs. Flexibility is required.
