Job Summary:

The Part Time Retail Sales Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

Compensation & Benefits:
The UPS Store #6502 offers competitive pay ranging from $12 to $15 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

•Assist customers by providing general information on products and services at The UPS Store #6502.
•Anticipate customer needs and suggest appropriate solutions.
•Drive store sales through upselling and suggestive selling techniques.
•Ensure shelves are accurately stocked.
•Place customer pickups orders and follow through from beginning of order to completion.
•Maintain the store according to The UPS Store standards.
•Maintain accurate store records, including customer sales and transactions.
•Address customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements:

•High school diploma or equivalent
•Knowledge of retail sales policies and procedures
•Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals
•Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
•Ability to work weekends or other shifts as needed
•Ability to lift and move boxes up to 40+ pounds
