Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant Job Description

This position is for a Central Fill pharmacy located in Everett WA supplying patient-level prescriptions for a large retail national chain.

DESCRIPTION:

• This role works in a fast-paced production environment known as an automated refill center.
• Performs warehouse operations such as packing prescriptions receiving and shipping.
• Maintains continuous and consistent work flow in order to meet daily production goals and has the ability to work productively either independently or as a team with acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.
• Understands and abides by federal and state HIPAA laws as well as pharmacy standard procedures to ensure patient safety and privacy.
• Demonstrate problem resolution skills: ability to recognize address and escalate issues to management.

Day to Day:

• Review reports for errors
• Packing patient paperwork and prescriptions.
• Sorting patient orders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Processes orders for shipping
• Folds and packs paperwork with prescriptions to prepare for shipping
• Sorts orders by store location and places in totes for shipping
• Loads product into truck
• Complies with policies procedures and SOPs
• Adheres to and promotes the Company's Shared ICARE principles

Essential Skills

• Pharmacy Assistant license (WA state requirement)
• Able to lift and carry 20-25 pounds
• Will be standing/walking for the majority of the shift (8+hours per day, requires bending, twisting, reaching and grasping)
• Must be available for mandatory overtime which is regular and often up to 1 hour. Occasionally 2 hours the following a major US Holiday.

Work Environment

The schedule is primarily EVENING shift: Sunday from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, and Monday to Thursday from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. The work environment is a closed-door pharmacy and involves standing for extended periods, with occasional requests for overtime or Saturday shifts based on business needs. The position requires handling inventory and ensuring proper storage conditions, including refrigeration of perishable products. The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.95 - $20.95/hr.
