Job Description:
  • The Phlebotomist I supports the Specimen Processing Department by performing general laboratory support tasks requiring accuracy, strong data entry skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • The role involves handling various specimen types, maintaining compliance with test-related regulations, and adapting to frequent workflow changes.
Requirement/Must Have:

Experience:

  • Previous laboratory experience preferred.
  • Medical background preferred (including medical terminology related to clinical labs).
  • Previous hospital laboratory or production environment experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform support functions such as A-station tasks, presort, specimen pickup/delivery, imaging, centrifugation, and aliquoting.
  • Maintain accuracy and timely processing of specimens.
  • Learn and understand specimen types and related testing requirements.
  • Follow compliance regulations related to test ordering.
  • Maintain digital and physical work areas in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to handle varying demands from customers.
