Your Impact The Purchasing Coordinator has responsibility for reviewing and analyzing inventory transactions and levels. Incumbent will track and analyze data from both inventory control and warehouse processes. Responsible for supporting the Procurement & Inventory Team by processing new PO's, supporting the monthly forecast meetings and daily planning requirements that ensure a consistent flow of product into all warehouse sites and direct shipments to customers. They will communicate daily with the logistics team and approve bookings as required. This position works closely with Customer Service, Sales and Distribution. Position may be required at times to support Distribution operations. To be successful in this position you must have strong communication skills.
What You'll Do - ATP maintenance in MRP and Vendor correspondence as required
- Reviewing Planner Messages and Action Reports
- Data entry support for new purchase orders, extremely detailed oriented
- Shipment bookings review and approval support
- Sales confirmation review and approval support
- Responsible for maintaining confirmed delivery dates of POs in D365
- Set-up and maintain key components of the Item Master & Item Cost Maintenance.
- Drop Shipment receiving/shipping processes
- Perform 3-way match on vendor invoices and forward to the Director for approval.
- Extensive record keeping
What You've Accomplished - BA or BS, preferred in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of inventory control/procurement experience, or equivalent
- Microsoft Dynamics D365 experience favored.
- APICs Certification a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, implement and direct physical inventory count
- Proficient in MS Office, with advanced skills using PO/System cost update, databases and spreadsheets
- Requires strict attention to details, enforcing data integrity to ensure quality of the data in the database.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills related to people management
- Ability to implement and follow a control system and problem solving skills
- Team player with ability to work independently, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
