Position Title : Python Developer

Location : 2 Bryant Park, New York, NY 10036 (Hybrid: 3 Days On-Site)

Position Type : Full-Time, W2 Candidates (All Visas Accepted)

Experience Required : 5+ Years

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join our Trade Surveillance team, which focuses on fraud detection and market abuse across global markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python development, experience with Quartz, and a solid understanding of financial markets and asset classes. This role involves primarily backend development, with some frontend development tasks.

• Backend Development : Develop and maintain robust backend systems using Python to support trade surveillance and fraud detection.
• Frontend Development : Implement and support some frontend features as needed to complement backend functionalities.
• Quartz Integration : Utilize Quartz for scheduling and job management within the application.
• Financial Domain Knowledge : Apply your knowledge of financial markets, asset classes, and fraud detection to enhance the functionality and accuracy of our surveillance systems.
• Trade Surveillance : Contribute to monitoring orders and trade activities to identify and address fraud and market abuse across all asset classes and global markets.
• Communication and Collaboration : Collaborate effectively with team members, communicate clearly about project requirements, and adapt to evolving needs.

1. Python Proficiency : Strong experience with Python, including backend development and some frontend capabilities.
2. Quartz Experience : Experience with Quartz for job scheduling and management.
3. Financial Knowledge : Understanding of financial markets, asset classes, and experience in fraud detection is highly preferred.
4. Trade Surveillance : Familiarity with trade surveillance processes and systems, especially related to fraud detection and market abuse.
5. Communication Skills : Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
6. Agility : Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development with a focus on backend systems.
• Experience in financial services or related domains is highly desirable.
