Quality & Food Safety (QFS) Assistant Manager - $55k-$65k/annually DOE!

This position is a direct hire opportunity!

Integrity Trade Services is hiring a Quality & Food Safety (QFS) Assistant Manager for our manufacturing client to start immediately at $55k-$65k/annually DOE! Receive comprehensive benefits through our client upon hire!

Responsibilities:

The QFS Assistant Manager shall execute essential duties as directed by the QFSM, as well as execute special projects assigned by the Vice President of Operations. These duties are in support of the QFSMS achieving its defined objectives.

• Ensure the Quality and Food Safety Management System (QFSMS) is in compliance with current versions of:
  • ISO 9001
  • FSSC 22000
  • ISO 22000
  • ISO 22002-1
• Lead WLT and PWC in ensuring the QFSMS processes are:
  • Established – development and documentation of flowcharts, Operating Procedures, Forms, Food Safety Plan, etc..
  • Implemented – communicated audiences, employees trained as required
  • Maintained – ensuring Management of Changes (MOC) and document changes are made in timely fashion as required.
• Lead the overall continuous improvement of the QFSMS.
  • Teaching the organization root cause elimination approaches
  • Initiate and lead meetings to address corrective actions and facilitate responses to customer complaints and issues
  • Analyze applicable operational and accounting data to gain insight to QFSMS improvement, Ensure the continued effective implementation.
• Report to VP-Operations on the performance of Objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Ensure that monthly report data for Quality Objectives and KPIs are collected and reported on Quarterly
• Lead QFSMS meetings and activities as agreed (e.g. QFSMS annual calendar, Quarterly Management Reviews, Staff Meetings, Food Safety Team Meetings, Internal Audits, etc.).
• Point person for all customer and FDA audits related to the QFSMS
• Meet continuing education requirements as an Internal Auditor and conduct audit assignments as an individual auditor and/or as a member of an audit team.
• Participate as the Food Safety Team Leader of both the WLT and the PWC Food Safety Teams.
• Practice & promote #134 Personal Hygiene Policy and Procedure and promote good housekeeping
• Practice and ensure Food Grade Product Safety.
• Participate in safety and operational training relative to the Quality Food Safety Management System.
• Execute special projects and assignments as directed by the VP of Operations

Schedule/Shift Details: 1st Shift and Flexible

Qualifications:

• Computer competency in Microsoft Professional Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent and two years of related experience in a Quality and/or Food Safety Management role. 
• The QFSAM shall be knowledgeable, capable of interpreting and assessing compliance with current versions of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, 22002-1, FSSC 22000, and applicable Title 21, Part 117 GMP requirements.
• Proficiency with SAP Systems and other office administrative functions a plus
• Good communications skills.
• Proficient in general math.
• Quality & Food Safety (Includes understanding Corporate Quality & Food Safety Policy and specific procedures relative to you & all subordinates’ job duties).
• Corporate Quality & Food Safety Policy General Awareness.
• ISO Quality and Food Safety Operating Procedures General Awareness.
• ISO 9001 & FSSC22000 Internal Auditor Awareness.
• Food Safety Team Member General Awareness.
• Hazardous Communication General Awareness.
• Hazmat Training & General Awareness.
• D.O.T. General Awareness.
• Evacuation General Awareness.
• ISO Internal Auditor Trained
