The Siemens Industry, Inc. our facility in Roebuck, SC, is currently seeking a Quality Technician- Lead to assist our Fabrication & Assembly areas. As the Quality Technician-Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that in-process fabricated and assembled products meet engineering and quality standards. In addition to leading the inspection efforts, you will take over the coordination and scheduling responsibilities for other fabrication quality inspectors. We are looking for a highly skilled and committed individual with a growth mindset to help enhance the Quality department's capabilities. You will also undertake various project tasks to support departmental objectives.

Responsibilities
Document and distribute inspection results accurately and promptly.
Coordinate and schedule the activities of other fabrication quality inspectors to ensure efficient coverage and adherence to inspection protocols.
Identify non-conforming materials and initiate NCR (Non-Conformance Report) processes to prevent the release of faulty products until issues are resolved.
Inspect and test purchased, fabricated, and assembled products to ensure they meet design specifications and directives.
Install and test electrical components as needed to support assembly operations.
Monitor and manage material scrap transactions through SAP.
Conduct ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) inspections for new or revised components.
Assist in manufacturing setup, ensuring the correct materials, tools, methods, and sequences are used for assembly.
Provide training and guidance to ensure proper product assembly practices.
Perform initial sample inspections during the startup or changeover of new or revised product assemblies.
Assist with RGA (Return Goods Authorization) processes as necessary.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Basic Qualifications
Experience in quality auditing and inspection, particularly with mechanical components (basic electrical inspection knowledge is preferred).
Proficiency in reading blueprints and Bills of Materials.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, scales, torque wrenches, and optical comparators.
Familiarity with sheet-metal fabrication, thread tapping, riveting, soldering, spot welding, electrical wiring, and mechanical assembly.
Experience with SAP for material movement and scrap management.
Knowledge of 8D CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) processes and Control Plans.
Strong willingness to learn and expand your expertise.
Adaptability to adjust strategies and processes to maximize impact within the department and the plant.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) is preferred.
