Job Description

Our client is seeking a contract-to-hire Receptionist to join their team in Rockville, MD!

About the job:

• Answer incoming phone calls and operate the telephone console to screen and route calls to the appropriate individual or department.
• Greet visitors professionally and warmly, announcing them to the relevant personnel.
• Maintain a visitor log, issue visitor badges, and track the return of badges.
• Ensure the reception area remains professional and tidy, discouraging gatherings in that space.
• Manage periods of high call volume effectively.

About you:

• 2+ years of reception experience preferred.
• High school diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
• Excellent listening skills with effective written and verbal communication abilities

About the position

• Temporary-to-hire
• $20/hour during contract period, $29/hour once permanent
• Onsite in Rockville, MD
• 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional mandatory overtime starting at 7:30 AM
