This Registered Nurse position focuses on providing skilled nursing care in a Medical/Surgical setting, specifically during night shifts (7 pm - 7 am). The role requires a minimum of two years of experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry units, with preference given to candidates with experience in Level I Trauma facilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration within a healthcare team. Travel nursing experience and proficiency with EPIC are mandatory. The position involves occasional floating to other units as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to patients in a Medical/Surgical setting.
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
- Assessing patients' conditions and documenting findings accurately.
- Developing and implementing patient care plans.
- Collaborating effectively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, other nurses, and support staff.
- Performing Telemetry monitoring and related duties.
- Floating to other units as required.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EPIC system.
- Participating in interdisciplinary rounds and care planning meetings.
- Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Meeting the requirements of a Level I Trauma facility (preferred).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma facility (highly preferred, Level II considered).
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Successful completion of a Telemetry competency test.
- BLS certification.
- COVID-19 vaccination and booster.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Experience in Level I Trauma facility.
Special Considerations:
- Night shift position (7 pm - 7 am), 36 hours per week, every other weekend.
- Will float as needed.
- Candidates who have worked permanently or as travelers for any Beth Israel facility within the past year are not eligible.
- Failure of the Telemetry test on the first day will result in assignment termination.
